Question
I am going to start my own business but I am worried that I will not survive in the early stages, what should I do?
Answer
It is rare that anybody first starting up business will not need to find other ways to financing their needs. Many people continue with their jobs, if their business type allows, while others (who are not currently working) source a second or part time job. Although this will enable you to survive you must remember to be committed to your business. If you have savings you could use those as a temporary measure, however remember that once they are gone – they are gone – so think very carefully before doing so! There are numerous ways of generating income, but you need to think what is best for you, your business and your life commitments – always talk to your business advisor and assess your needs before making any hasty decisions.
