After Nursery Nurse training and gaining NNEB qualifications in 1992, Manjit worked in a childrens nursery where she went on to become Deputy Manager and then Acting Manager before moving to the Coventry area where she took the decision to set up in business on her own.
First Manjit attended the Business Rehearsal Scheme at the Womens Business Development Agency where she was able to test the viability of her business idea and where in 1999 following six months test trading she became an award winner.
In July 1992, Manjit went on to officially launch her business called The Rocking Horse Kindergarten. Having moved into extensive purpose built nursery premises in the Holbrooks area of Coventry, Manjit now runs a very successful business. It is registered for the attendance of 40 children aged three months to five years and which has created jobs for 14 members of staff.
The Rocking Horse Kindergarten provides a supportive and stimulating learning environment and has attracted a growing number of regular clients, including working mothers and parents who want first class childcare and education for their children. For 28 year old Manjit Sahota child's play is a serious business.
