When does the programme start?
The training programme has various start dates throughout the year - contact us for details of the next one.
PHASE 1 – ADVICE AND GUIDANCE
You will be assigned your own Personal Business Advisor from the Women’s Business Development Agency throughout the duration of this entire programme; who will provide you with timely and informative business advice/support needed to achieve your high-growth aspirations for as long as you may need it.
Your Personal Business Advisor also has access to other specialist advisors and mentors well qualified and experienced in their respective fields of business from the University of Warwick Science Park should you require them at any stage.
PHASE 2 – PRE SELECTION INTERVIEWS

As part of the programme, and in conjunction with the support from your Personal Business Advisor at RWEU you will attend a series of short workshops.
There will be plenty of opportunities for you to meet and network with other like-minded women; those in the pre-start up stages and those that have already established their businesses and want to grow and expand their businesses.
PHASE 3 – TRAINING PROGRAMME
Over a period of 3 weeks, you will have access to the highest calibre and quality of interactive training sessions, learning from experts in their relative fields, and most importantly, those that have endured the journey of starting a business from scratch and making things happen.
It’s vital we have your commitment to this programme, and as it is a pilot, we are dependent upon you to provide us with honest feedback, which we will use to help shape and determine the nature of future programmes.
You will be expected to arrive promptly for the beginning of each session, as many of the guest speakers we have invited have travelled considerable distances to join us and share their expertise.
PHASE 4 – SPECIALIST MENTORING
You will be allocated a Business Mentor who will work with you on a one-to-one basis.
The mentors are supported by a team at the University of Warwick Science Park and the Women’s Business Development Agency which includes entrepreneurs with proven experience of business management and enterprise development, and practical expertise in funding, licensing, IPR, marketing etc.
PHASE 5 – PITCHING IN THE DRAGONS DEN!
Upon completion of the training programme, your Business Mentor will work with you to advise on the development of your business, or if you are growing an existing business; help you put your growth strategies together.
You will use this information to present your business plan to the ‘Dragons Den’.
We’ve put together a panel of ‘Dragons’ – consisting of a Venture Capitalist, a Business Angel, a Financial Institution and Investor. Although funding will not be made available on the day, this invaluable experience will provide you with a real-life opportunity to perfect your business pitch and present it to the sorts of people you may need to secure funding from in the future. Feedback will be frank, honest but constructive!
PHASE 6 – ONGOING ADVICE AND SUPPORT FROM THE RWEU

When you have completed your 30 hours of business and mentoring support from your Mentor, you can receive continued support from the Business Advisors at the Women’s Business Development Agency.
